Smit and Fisher Architects was originally established as Smit & Fisher Architects by Renier Smit and Roger Fisher in 1983, and later also established SF Mashiyane Architects, a Level 2 B-BBEE firm, in 2014.
Professional services rendered comprise the appraisal, planning, architectural and urban design, contract administration, heritage impact assessment and permit application, architectural conservation and project management of a wide range of projects. Included are industrial and commercial developments, law courts, retirement facilities, clinics, schools, facilities for the disabled, housing projects and private houses, game lodges, small business development facilities, urban planning and several border control posts.
